Decent food at decent prices breakfast n lunch
After a few irregular visits, the girls at Beverly's now recognize when I'm in the mood for a slow paced breakfast (I bring the paper and sit alone), or when I'm in a hurry. They know how I like my coffee, the two or three meals I regularly order, and that I'm usually waiting for someone else to join me.
Food is consistent and good, people are friendly, atmosphere is interesting, probably average for a shopping center.
It's simple food, hot and comforting in a place where time seems to have slowed. Contained within the bubble of Chestertown, Beverly's is the kind of place you go to have a waitress call you "baby" or "hon" without irony. High brows can stay at the door, you come for the comfort food and the pleasant experience. You stay for the great prices, the small talk with the girls, and what quickly becomes personalized attention.
Elvis is alive and well at Beverly's! Good basic food and excellent service. It's where everybody knows your name. Local eat and greet for college kids, seniors, local officials and families.
