Not bad, quant house with decent accommodations

Ah Chestertown! The “Widow’s Walk” B&B, a name that derives from an architectural device on some old houses, is an elegant, old mansion perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood, yet steps from the historic district of downtown. A little farther away is Washington College, almost a long walk itself. We stayed there last weekend while attending a function in town. There is parking on the property, in the back, as well as off property on the street. The house itself is an exquisitely detailed place with a large, classic dining room where is served a wonderful breakfast each morning. We stayed upstairs in the Chesapeake Room, which has a large bathroom inside. It was well worth the price. The place is delightfully well-managed by tireless innkeepers Bob and Susan. Excellent restaurants are located close by, within an easy walk. This turned out to be a nice surprise and an excellent B&B experience. We will go back next time we go to Chestertown.
