On 3/39/17 Cumiskey preformed a full hip replacement at Union Hospital, Elkton. For the next two weeks the pain increased. Additional exrays were reviewed by Cumiskey and I was told everything looked good. I came to realize that Cumiskey is a cutter, not a caring Doctor. On 4/15/17 the bone around the I plant fractured requiring emergency surgery, followed by 3 long weeks in rehab and 3 more weeks of very limited activity. I am now left with constant pain, a bad limp requiring a cane and worst of all my right leg is now
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SO CALLED SURGEON!
an inch shorter than it was.
The bottom line is that the original implant should not have been used in repairing the fracture. A third surgery is now scheduled to install a new implant. If all goes well the pain, limp and shorter leg will no longer adversely affect my life.
After six months of this and being told it would get better with time, I decided to get a second oppenion. A Harvard schooled surgeon in a large orthopedic firm took new exrays and conferred with me on 10/12/17.
