To my misfortune, I have had AllState auto insurance policies for both personal and commercial autos. I recently decided to shop for new affordable insurance. After acquiring insurance I called the Chestertown Agent, Mr. Rengarts to cancel policy. It was not surprising that he didn't try to keep our business. Didn't even wish us well. But I will go further to explain that we received a notice of non-renewal in the mail. After a month of receiving notice (it was giving us a grace period), I called to inquire about this notice because it did not state clearly why commercial auto policy was being cancelled. Mr. Regarts explained what it was about. Believed that I was being truthful of our business status and would look into the situation and call me back. He never did call back. And of course, leaving it in his incapable hands, I let it go and forgot about it until today 7/3/17. Therefore, from 6/25/17 - present day, my husbands commercial vehicles have been uninsured. And to make matters worse, MVA will fine him $150/vehicle (TOTAL $450). Mr. Rengart emailed me shortly after I called to cancel our policies informing me he made cancellations and attached the notice we received earlier in the year from AllState. Once I read the email and noticed all the above, I called Mr. Rengarts and left a message with his wife. He called back and I proceeded to ask why this was happening and told him recalled our initial conversation. He then tells me that it was it was a fantasy. That I a making it up. He stated he never said he would call me back! BUT I clearly remember. Yes, it's his work against mine, sadly. I am telling the truth. I don't appreciate he calling me a liar, in an indirect way. I tried calling the customer service number and it kept directing me back to Mr. Rengarts. I finally had to called another agent and they will be helping file a claim against Mr. Rengarts. WARNING: Do not use this agent. He has never been a pleasant or helpful agent. I currently deal with other Agents for other policies in the area and I can honestly state, they treat me respectfully and as an equal!
Many years ago Andy took the time to get to know me, and then my family. As my children grew and they needed auto and home insurance, he was there for them too. He already knew them and their needs. It is nice to know that if we have an insurance question or concern, Andy is there for us.
